The post office is putting a special stamp on the Rowing World Championships

The special post office branch at the Olympic regatta course will be opening its doors for the start of the World Championships in Oberschleissheim – and will be ready with sought-after collector’s items: 1000 limited edition postcards are available and can be purchased at the special counter at the regatta centre, and then sent straight off with best wishes from the World Championships. The postcard shows the successful German eight who won the gold medal last year at the World Championships in Eton. Between 28th August and 2nd September letters and postcards posted at the special post office branch will receive an extra Rowing World Championships custom-made special postmark – guaranteed to be a collector’s item.

A further special Rowing World Championships postmark has also been available countrywide from the Deutsche Post since the end of July. Every day, between 80 000 and 180 000 letters and postcards that have a postage stamp on them, are also being sent on their way with the special World Championships postmark.
